Audiology & Hearing Therapy Department
The Audiology Department based at Dorset County Hospital provides the following services:
- Assessment of hearing function for all ages from neonates to adults
- Assessment of balance function
- Assessment of tinnitus
- Fitting of NHS hearing aids to children and adults
- Maintenance and repair of NHS hearing aids
- Counselling for patients with hearing, tinnitus or balance problems
The department has a suite of rooms on Level 0 in the South Wing of Dorset County Hospital. It also has special sound proofed rooms in the community hospitals in Weymouth, Bridport, Sherborne and Blandford.
The department comprises 13 clinical staff and three administrative staff.
