Thomas Sydenham Education Centre Library
The Thomas Sydenham Education Centre Library serves to support clinical decision-making and professional development for Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust staff and our affiliated users.
The library is located on the ground floor of the East Wing of the Dorset County Hospital, within the Thomas Sydenham Education Centre.
Who may use the library?
All Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust staff may use the library and those that register are able to borrow items.
Staff from other local Trusts and those working within the health and social care sector may also join the library. This includes local GPs and practice staff, and students on clinical placement in West Dorset. The only restriction is that Bournemouth University students must apply to the university for their inter-library loans, training and literature searches.
Services
Our experienced professionals offer a full range of library services including book loans, photocopying, inter-library loans, literature searching, information skills training and more. We have a well stocked collection of books, back runs of journals, and computers free to use.
