Radiology - Information for GPs
Welcome to the Department of Radiology, Dorset County Hospital. Please use this section to learn about the services offered by us, working hours, appointments, results and locations. Please encourage your patients to read through our pages and their appointment letters before their examinations - this will provide them with preliminary information regarding their procedures giving them a good idea of what to expect when they come to us from you.
Please feel free to contact our staff with any questions/concerns.
Duty Radiologist
We have a Duty Radiologist working from 9am to 5pm. Please contact the Duty Radiologist with any queries/concerns regarding your patients, examination procedure, or with any other matter that we can help you with.
The Duty Radiologist will be more than happy to address your queries and requests. Call the Duty Radiologist Hotline on 01305 256964
Results enquiries
The results will be authorised and made available on PACS as soon as we can. We continually work towards reducing our waiting times. Patients are usually requested to contact their GPs for results in 7 - 10 days time. If the results are not made available by this time due to any unforeseen circumstances, we do apologise. If your team can contact our enquiries line on 01305 254131, we can make this available to you as soon as possible. If the patient's condition changes and you would like your results expedited, please get in touch with the enquiries line.
