Research and Development Department and Clinical Trials Unit

The Research and Development Department and Clinical Trials Unit have an office in the Medical Records Building. We are here to help with all aspects of research and clinical trials.

The Team:

Executive Lead for Research, Alison Tong
As the Executive Lead for Research, Alison has the overall responsibility for all research undertaken within the Trust.  She is the Chairman of the Research Strategy Group, who guides the Trust’s research strategy.  Alison can be contacted via the R&D Office on 01305 255298.

Research Co-ordinator, Christopher Miller
Christopher is the Research Co-ordinator for the Research and Development Unit in Dorset County Hospital. His responsibilities include coordinating the research applications that are made to the Trust as well as monitoring the progress of current research projects. Christopher is the first point of contact for anyone who has a query regarding research. He can be contacted on 01305 255298.

The Research and Development unit is supported by Rosemary Reader who can be contacted on 01305 254898.

Lead Research Nurse, Sally Breakspear
Sally is the Lead Research Nurse who has responsibility for all clinical trials being undertaken in Dorset County Hospital. She will ensure that all research is being carried out to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Standard. Sally can be contacted in the Clinical Trials Unit on 01305 255253.
