Dr Adam Nicholls

Diabetes and Endocrinology

2008 BM(Hons) University of Southampton
2012 MRCP(London)
2016 MRCP(Diabetes & Endocrinology)

I trained at Southampton University and completed my junior doctor training in hospitals around Hampshire and Dorset. As a registrar I took time out of training to undertake clinical research and developed a clinical interest in integrated diabetes and the management of patients with diabetes and severe mental illness.

I was previously a consultant at Poole Hospital and led the development of a new integrated service and a technology service.

I have held both educational and leadership roles and am currently the chair of the Wessex Diabetes Forum for the strategic clinical network.

Special interests
I have a clinical interest in enabling patients to make best use of technology and developing services to improve the health and wellbeing of our population.
