How to prepare for an appointment and what to bring

Please read your appointment letter carefully to confirm which hospital you are to be seen at. It may not be the same hospital where your previous appointments have been.

Please bring all your NHS hearing aids and your most recent ear moulds.

Please bring reading glasses if you use them.

You are welcome to bring a relative or friend into the appointment if you wish, but as our rooms are quite small it is advisable not to bring too many people.

Please allow time to find a parking space as the car park gets very busy.

Feel free to write down any questions you wish to ask at the appointment, to help you remember them on the day.

You are welcome to ask for copies of any letters or reports we may send to your GP or consultant, or for copies of your hearing test results.

Toilets and water fountains are available in or nearby to all our departments. Baby changing facilities are available in some departments.

If you are unable to come to your appointment, please ring 01305 255563 to tell us that you will not be coming. We will then be able to offer your slot to someone else.
