Mr Simon James William Garrett BM MRCS FRCS(Trauma & Orthopaedics)​

Mr Garrett was appointed as a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant at Dorset County Hospital in 2010, where he specialises in hip and knee surgery. He carries out all aspects of hip and knee surgery treating a number of conditions as below.He is one of the few surgeons around the area that performs advanced techniques in Hip Arthroscopy (keyhole hip surgery) including labral repair.​

​Mr Colin Senior​ BMBS, BMedSci, MRCS, FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics)​​

Mr Colin Senior qualified from Nottingham Medical School in 1998. He spent time in London including one year at the Royal London Hospital Trauma Unit, before entering higher surgical training in orthopaedics within the Wessex region. He is fellowship trained in the sub-specialities of arthroplasty, shoulder, and trauma surgery during a year spent in Auckland, New Zealand.

Colin is currently based at Dorset County Hospital; with a lead role in trauma surgery and is currently the only orthopaedic surgeon specialising in shoulder surgery at the hospital.​

Mr Nicholas Savva ​Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon MBBS BMedSci FRCS(Eng) FRCS(Tr&Orth​)​
Mr Nicholas Savva trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School and on the Wessex Orthopaedic Rotation. He has a broad experience of general orthopaedic surgery and trauma. He specialises in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery. He also has a particular interest in sports injuries and arthroscopic surgery.

Mr Ian William Barlow Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon MB ChB FRCS (England) FRCS (Orth)​​​​
Ian Barlow is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in Knee Surgery, Ian was appointed to Dorset County Hospital in 1998. He did his medical training at Bristol and trained in Orthopaedic surgery in Bristol, Leeds and Southampton. In 1996 he undertook a travelling fellowship in the USA in order to further develop his interest in sports injuries and arthroscopy.​

Mr Tim Crook Consultant Hand & Upper Limb Surgeon BM PgDip(SEM) MFSEM FRCS (Tr and Orth)​​​​
Mr Tim Crook qualified from Southampton University Medical School in 2000. He undertook his Higher Surgical Training in the Wessex region, obtaining Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2009. Mr Crook has worked with some of the world’s leading Upper Limb experts. In 2010 he travelled to Sydney, undertaking an internationally renowned Hand and Wrist Fellowship for one year. He was awarded a Travelling Bursary from the British Society for Surgery of the Hand in support of this. He returned to the UK to commence a Consultant post at Dorset County Hospital in July 2011.​

Mr Sean Perry Walsh​ Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon BM, FRCS, MSc, FRCS (Trau & Orth)​
He elected to spe​cialise in Hand, Wrist and Elbow surgery. This specialised training was undertaken at the Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand unit at Addenbrooks hospital Cambridge and Southampton University hospital. In 2002-2003 he undertook an Advanced Hand Surgery Fellowship at the Pulvertaft Hand Unit in Derby (an internationally renowned Hand Surgery Centre ). In 2003 he set up and developed the Hand Wrist and Elbow service at the Dorset County and BMI The Winterbourne hospitals.​

Mr Iain Adam Findlay Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon MBChB, BSc(Hons), FRCS (Tr&Orth)​

Iain qualified in 2002 at Edinburgh University. Basic Surgical Training was completed at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital in London, followed by Specialist Orthopaedic Training on the South East Thames Rotation. He obtained the FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2012. Following this he was awarded two specialist fellowships. He was the Knee and Trauma Fellow at King’s College Hospital, London and then the Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Fellow at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. Iain was appointed as a Consultant at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester in 2015.​

Mr Peter Ward Consultant Orthopaedic, Trauma & Reconstruction Surgeon MB BS FRCS​​​​​

Mr Peter Ward is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, with his Dorset private orthopaedic practice based at BMI Winterbourne Hospital in Dorchester.  His practice focuses on hip and knee arthritis with treatments ranging from joint pain injections through to hip replacements and knee replacements. He has a busy trauma commitment also based at Dorset County Hospital.​
