​Free, Confidential On-site Counselling

This service for all DCH staff will start on Monday 3 August, and will operate every weekday from 8am to 11am from the meeting room inside the doors of Fortuneswell Ward. This room allows for social distancing and privacy.

Ian Smith is a BACP registered counsellor who runs his own practice He can offer support with any concerns, anxiety or emotional stress you may have.

Ian will be on site 8am-11am Monday to Friday regardless of bookings, so will also be able to offer drop-in sessions subject to availability. There will be clear signage on the room door so staff will know if Ian is with a client.

We will review the timings of the sessions regularly to ensure that they are meeting staff needs. This service is completely confidential. Attendance of sessions will never be reported to your employer or anyone without your express consent. Ian adheres to the BACP code of ethics which includes confidentiality.
