Staff Flu and COVID Vaccination
Get doubly protected this winter!
Staff flu and COVID-19 booster vaccination sessions
COVID cases are on the rise again locally and we are expecting a bad flu season, so it's never been more important to get yourself protected ahead of the winter – for you, for your family, for your colleagues and for our patients.
Our flu and COVID-19 vaccination sessions for ALL staff to allow you to get your flu vaccine and COVID booster at the same time in the same place.

Last Session! – Wednesday, 8 February, 2pm to 5.30pm, Medical Outpatients
You will have the opportunity to receive both the flu and COVID-19 booster vaccines, or just one of them. It is safe to have both vaccines on the same day.
Any member of staff can attend (clinical and non-clinical) and you do not need to book.
The vaccination team will do their best to vaccinate everyone in the queue, but there is a chance this may not be possible if demand outweighs the supply on the day. Please be understanding and patient with the staff running the session.
Please note the following:
- If you have had COVID-19 recently, you cannot have a COVID vaccination until 28 days after your first positive test for COVID-19
- The COVID booster we are giving is for staff aged 18 and over only
- These clinics are for booster vaccinations and not for the delivery of 1st or 2nd doses of the COVID-19 vaccine
- The flu jab we are giving is for staff aged 18-65 years old
You will need to bring:
- Your staff ID badge
- Your NHS number (you can find your number on the NHS App)
- A face covering
- And please dress appropriately so you can lift your sleeve easily to be vaccinated
A one-way system will be in place and volunteers will be directing you.
If you cannot make these dates, please don't worry – we will be offering more COVID booster and flu vaccine clinics over the coming weeks. We will also be running clinics for anyone who has not already had a first or second dose of the COVID vaccine.
Frontline health workers and those with long-term health conditions can also book a COVID-19 vaccination online via the national booking system for other vaccination centres.
Having the flu and COVID-19 vaccines are two of the most important things we can all do to keep ourselves and others safe this winter. More information about COVID-19 and flu vaccines is available online:
