DCH Thank You Fortnight

DCH Thank You Fortnight 2022 is running from 26 September to 9 October. This event provides an important opportunity for us to thank you for your contribution and to reflect on all that Team DCH has achieved.
All staff will be receiving a £5 Love2Shop voucher as a small gesture of appreciation and other initiatives such as free hot drinks, free meals for children, daily prize draws, visits from an ice cream van and taster sessions for staff in yoga and mindfulness will all be happening over the next two weeks (full details below).
The GEM and Long Service Awards are also being held during Thank You Fortnight and we look forward to celebrating the achievements of Team DCH at these events.

Free Children’s Dinners
Free children’s dinners will be available in Damers Restaurant between 4pm-6pm every weekday commencing Monday 26 September and last service on Friday 7 October.
Menu choices to include:
- Pizza
- Chips
- Sausages/Mini Sausages
- Chicken Goujons/Nuggets
- Vegetarian Option
Children must be accompanied by one adult member of staff. Staff ID badge required.
Activities will be available including colouring, building blocks and toys.
Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga is a very traditional and physically strong form of yoga based upon the principle of integrating the eight limbs of yoga into your life.
This session will run from 9am-10.30am on Thursday 29 September and will be held in the Boardroom in Trust HQ.
The sessions will be run by Saleem Taibjee who is a consultant at the Trust.
*Staff are asked to bring their own Yoga mat where possible*
*Staff are asked to attend for the full session to avoid disruption*

Free Breakfasts for Night Staff
Free five item breakfasts for night staff will be available in Damers Restaurant for night staff only between 7.30am-11am every weekday commencing Monday 26 September and last service on Friday 7 October.
Staff ID badge required.
Choir Taster Session
Free choir taster sessions will be held at Vespasian House on Monday 3 October from 12pm-2pm.
The sessions will be run by Kathie Prince.
All bookings must be made in advance.

Staff are also welcome to join the choir at West Annex on Wednesday 5 October from 6pm-7.15pm. This session does not need to be booked. Normal weekly choir session.
Ice Cream Van
Weymouth’s favourite Mr Whippy will be on site from 1pm to 2pm on the following days offering a variety of ice creams:

Wednesday 28 September - Pencils, East Wing
Friday 30 September - Pencils, East Wing
Sunday 2 October - NHS Fleet Vehicles Car Park (former Frequent Users Car Park)
Tuesday 4 October - NHS Fleet Vehicles Car Park (former Frequent Users Car Park)
Thursday 6 October - NHS Fleet Vehicles Car Park (former Frequent Users Car Park)
On 4 October, the ice cream van will also visit Vespasian House after the DCH session, so should arrive just after 2pm.
One ice cream per member of staff per session.
ID badges are required.
Please help us manage the queues for ice creams by attending in person - it is one ice cream per person during each visit to avoid long queues building up. Mr Whippy is visiting several times over the fortnight so hopefully you will have a chance to attend in person during one of the visits.
Daily Prize Draw
A prize draw will take place every day commencing on Monday 26 September with the final draw on Sunday 9 October.
All staff have been automatically entered into the prize draw.

Free hot drinks will be available for staff throughout the Thank You Fortnight. This will be available in Damers Restaurant.
One drink per member of staff per visit.
ID badges are required.
Please help us manage the queues in Damers by attending in person to collect your free hot drink - it is one hot drink per person during each visit to avoid long queues building up. The offer is running throughout the fortnight so hopefully you will have a chance to attend in person during that time.
£5 Love2Shop Vouchers
Substantive and fixed term staff employed at the Trust on 1 September 2022 will receive a £5 Love2Shop voucher. The voucher will be distributed by your line manager during Thank You Fortnight.
Staff on Bank and Flexibly Employed Contracts who have worked since 1 April 2022 will also receive a £5 Love2Shop voucher which will be sent to their home address in the post.
Surplus vouchers should be returned to HR.

Dorset History Walks
Join the Dorset History Walk in Dorchester! The activity will include old photographs, archaeology including Dorchester’s Roman defences, and a walk to Maumbury Rings.
The activity will be held on 5 October and 6 October at 1pm. The History Walk will start at the bandstand in Dorchester Borough Gardens and take one hour.

Wellbeing Walkabout
Held on Friday 7 October 2022, 1pm-2pm by Maria Morris.
The meeting place for the event will be the Bandstand at Dorchester Borough Gardens at 12.50pm.

You will practice walking in a mindful manner. Learn relaxing breathing method, and discover how nature can help you become supremely calm.

The methods shown can be repeated wherever you are - inside or outside. They mostly take one to six minutes! Plus, you can share these methods with friends or family.
