Background
I trained at Southampton University and completed my junior doctor training in hospitals around Hampshire and Dorset. As a registrar I took time out of training to undertake clinical research and developed a clinical interest in integrated diabetes and the management of patients with diabetes and severe mental illness.

I was previously a consultant at Poole Hospital and led the development of a new integrated service and a technology service.

I have held both educational and leadership roles and am currently the chair of the Wessex Diabetes Forum for the strategic clinical network.

Special interests
I have a clinical interest in enabling patients to make best use of technology and developing services to improve the health and wellbeing of our population.

Background
I trained in diabetes and endocrinology in the Southwest Peninsula region and was a consultant in diabetes and endocrinology at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth from 2005-2013. I moved to Dorset County Hospital in 2014, having relocated to Dorset with my family and took up my current post as Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Dorset County Hospital in 2014.

Special interests
I have a specialist interest in insulin pumps and technology including CGMS and hybrid closed loop systems (HCL).
