Background
Dr Jupp qualified from the University of Southampton in 2000 and received specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Wessex region, including research into chronic pancreatitis. He was appointed as a Consultant at Dorset County Hospital in 2013.
Special interests
Dr Jupp has specialist interests in liver, biliary and pancreatic diseases. He leads the upper GI cancer service and is departmental lead for gastroenterology. He also specialises in performing therapeutic endoscopic procedures including ERCP.

Background
Dr Shutt was appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Dorset County Hospital in 2009. He qualified in 1998 from the University of Southampton Medical School, with a first-class honours intercalated BSc. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2001, training as a specialist in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine in the Wessex region over the next seven years.
Dr Shutt has received a broad training in gastroenterology and hepatology in the Wessex region, with specialised training in upper gastrointestinal tract disease and nutrition. His research interests are in Barrett's oesophagus, and he leads the nutrition support team at Dorset County Hospital.
Special interests
Dr Shutt’s endoscopic interests cover a wide range of upper and lower gastrointestinal therapeutic procedures, particularly complex colonic polypectomy. He has been a screening colonoscopist within the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme since 2014.

Background
Dr Castro Silva was appointed as a Gastroenterology Consultant at DCHFT in 2017. He qualified from Royal Free and University College London medical school in 2007, with a first class intercalated BSc. He underwent specialist gastroenterology and hepatology training in the Wessex region, with additional training as an endoscopy fellow.
Special interests
Dr Castro Silva has a specialist interest in and is the lead consultant for both the iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) services. In addition to performing both upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures, Dr Castro Silva has established and leads the video capsule service at Dorset County Hospital.
