Abbotsbury Ward

Abbotsbury Ward is a 28-bed ward covering a range of specialities ranging from women's health to surgical, ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology as well as other specialities such as orthopaedic trauma.
The ward is located in North Wing Level 2 and is often a busy ward, taking admissions day and night from the Emergency Department, theatres, GPs, clinics and other wards.
Whilst some patients will be relatively well and independent, others will be acutely unwell, may be suffering the sad loss of a baby or have been diagnosed with life-threatening conditions.
With so many different specialities, we have several different teams of doctors in the ward and many diagnostic tests being conducted.
Visiting guidance
Visiting times are 11am to 8pm, seven days a week.
