I joined the team at DCH in 2007 and have enjoyed involvement in the evolution of our service and the Trust from that time. Having fulfilled two terms as Clinical Director for Emergency Medicine I have divided my professional time between the Emergency Department and working with the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance as part of their Critical Care Team since 2013.

I have worked in a variety of specialties in a variety of countries, in both the developed and developing world. In particular, two years in South Africa has given me ample experience of major trauma that is fortunately relatively rare in the UK.
I am committed to improving emergency care both in the UK and abroad. Within emergency medicine I have a special interest in trauma and acute medicine.
