If your mental health is affected by your financial situation, please do not try to manage this alone - it is normal to feel overwhelmed. As well as the support services below, you can contact our DCH 24/7 confidential helpline to talk to someone about how you are feeling on 03303 800658.

Our aim is to support our staff with their financial wellbeing. Dorset County Hospital is working with the Money and Pensions Service moneyandpensionsservice.org.uk, an arm’s length government organisation which works to improve people’s financial wellbeing across the UK. They will provide you with free and independent financial support.

Local foodbank support

During these challenging times it is not unreasonable to expect that we may all need a little support from time to time. Working in a care profession you may not feel that you want to ask for help, but it is ok to need help!  The organisations below are here to help you when you need it - they can help for the short term with food, hygiene and household products.

As both organisations operate a referral scheme, we at DCHFT are able to act as a confidential referrer for you.  If you think we can help or wish to be referred please contact food.bank@dchft.nhs.uk

Serve and Protect Credit Union

DCHFT Staff can access the Serve and Protect Credit Union.  This will enable staff to save and borrow safely in the instance that their credit score is not sufficient through normal lending processes.  It will also enable staff to repay through salary deduction.

Though S&P are a trusted partner financial advice should always be sought before taking out a financial product.
