Cycle to Work
Here's what we have in place to help staff cycle to work:
Cycle to Work scheme
- Save up to 42%* on the latest bikes and accessories for your commute to work. To access this benefit, you must register at vivup.co.uk. *Savings are realised through a salary sacrifice arrangement. Excluding disposal fee. Figures are a guide only and dependent on personal situation. Cycle to Work is provided via a salary sacrifice arrangement.
Location of cycle shelters
There are a range of lockable cycle shelters and ‘toaster’ style cycle racks around the site. A map of cycle parking at the hospital is available here. If you would like to park your bike in one of the lockable shelters please speak to main reception.
Plans are in place to improve cycle storage on site. Existing shelters will be replaced with larger, more secure shelters and a new shelter will be built with provision for charging electric bikes.

Bike User Group (BUG)
We have a Bike User Group to help advocate for better cycling facilities. It's also useful for sharing information about cycling to work and finding 'bike buddies'.
Ecoearn
NHS organisations across Dorset have joined forces to produce a sustainabiility programme which includes activities that support Trust's Green Plans. If you're cyling to work make sure you're earning your ecoearn points, as you could win vouchers. You can do this via two activities:
- Low carbon commute
- Movement for mental health
And earn a bonus 150 points by doing the cycling tips activity.
