As part of the multi-storey car park build, we're also increasing the number of disabled parking spaces for Blue Badge holders across the wider hospital site.

We want to make sure that Blue Badge holders can park as close to the hospital buildings as possible, so we are creating a large area dedicated to Blue Badge holders in front of North Wing Entrance 2 (Day Surgery entrance). This will be in addition to disabled spaces near other entrances.

We will be opening the multi-storey car park in a few weeks’ time and need to ensure the new disabled parking area is also ready, as there will be no dedicated disabled spaces in the multi-storey car park. We were hoping that the work could be done over a weekend but, due to contractor availability, it will have to be carried out during the week.

On Monday, contractors will be working on the first two rows of parking bays in front of the North Wing Entrance 2 to mark out the larger disabled spaces, and on Tuesday they will be in the next two rows.

This means there will be fewer parking spaces in this area on those days. Patients who are coming to us for Chemotherapy will still be able to park and there will be parking marshals on hand to direct you to an alternative space outside North Wing Entrance 1.

Thank you for your patience. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
