Do you have an item that is in good condition but you no longer need?

Are you in need of item but don't want to buy new?

Use the DCH rehoming service!

We have a wide variety of different items come through the waste team that are in good condition that looking for a new home.

If you would are looking for an item, or would like to rehome and item email the waste team wasteteam@dchft.nhs.uk

Items we accept (including but not limited to):

  • Trolleys
  • Lockers
  • Cupboards
  • Tables
  • Wipe down chairs
  • Pedestals
  • Bins

How it works...

Fill out a Rehoming Request form and email it across to the Trust's Waste Coordinator at tiffany.price@dchft.nhs.uk She will advertise your item and try to rehome it for you (if you can add pictures so she can see the condition).

Whilst she is advertising the item, it will stay with you until the porters can collect it from you and it will go to it's new home. We say to give it 10 working days to get to you, however, it doesn't usually take this long.

If you have requested an item and the Waste Coordinator has found what you are looking for, she will email you and let you know when you can expect it, with an image of what you will receive.

Please note: Some of the items that become available may need to be fixed, but this still results in being cheaper than buying new! If there is an issue with an item you have received or if you haven't heard back, please email tiffany.price@dchft.nhs.uk and she will assist you with your queries.

In the last financial year, the Trust has saved 45 tonnes from going to landfill meaning which is the equivalent of 30 cars!
